If you don't have much time to cook throughout the day or if you don't have access to a kitchen, it is always possible to carry fruits or good quality snacks with you to reach for. For example, you can have some of my usual "go to's": cut up veggies with some hummus or the always savory stuffed grape leaves.
Stay Hydrated: Even mild dehydration can zap your energy. Enhance your water intake by adding slices of lemon or cucumber for a refreshing twist. Carrying a water bottle with you wherever you go, will make it easier to ensure that you will reach your hydrating goals each day. I always aim to take in at least 3 or 4 liters of water daily, depending on my activity level per day. However, make sure that you truly are comfortable with the water bottle that you select. This way, you know that you will never forget it. Maybe, you would rather opt for a more tumbler-like bottle with a handle.
Ditch the Sugar: Skip sugary snacks and sodas that lead to energy crashes. Instead, choose fruit or a handful of trail mix. Nuts or seeds are always a great snack to reach for. Make sure that they do not have any additives or added sugars.
